DIRECTIONS FROM LOUISIANA:
1. Take I-10 into Baton
Rouge. Near the Mississippi River bridge, you will reach the I-10 and
110-North split. You will take 110-North, also known as the Martin Luther King
Expressway. Then take Exit 8-C to Natchez, the very last exit off 110-North.
A large roadside sign will read "Audubon Golf Trail and St. Francisville This Exit".
2. You will then be on Highway 61, which runs North to St. Francisville. You will drive
for about 25 miles and then reach a stop light 1 mile from the town.
DO NOT DRIVE PAST THIS STOP LIGHT.
At the Stop Light:
(NOTE: All of your turns will be LEFT after this point)
3. TURN LEFT at this stop light onto Commerce Street, a winding road that passes our local hospital.
In about 1 mile, you will reach another stop light. This is the intersection of Commerce and Ferdinand
Streets, the main intersection in the town of St. Francisville.
4. TURN LEFT again onto Ferdinand Street (the main street in the historic district) and drive for
about 3/4 mile until you see the Courthouse Complex **on your left**.
The Courthouse is a red-brick building with white columns and black copper bell tower.
At night it's brightly lit by large, garish lamposts.
On Your Right: The highlight of the historic district, Grace Episcopal Church and its' cemetery;
directly across the street from the courthouse.
The cemetery has a long, black cast-iron fence with live oak tree limbs
hanging over the street.
5. Barrow House Inn is directly behind the courthouse on Royal, so you can TURN LEFT before
or after the courthouse. The inn is a large white house with a large live
oak tree on the corner of Johnson Street and Royal Street.
6. Walk up to the front door and ring the doorbell twice.

From Lafayette, Lake Charles & HOUSTON Take I-10 into Baton Rouge, and exit onto 110 North once you cross the Mississippi River bridge. Then follow the directions from Baton Rouge & New Orleans above. From Central And North Louisiana
1. Take I-49 to Alexandria.Then take Hwy. 1 East to New Roads, which is across the Mississippi River
from St. Francisville.
2. At New Roads, follow the signs to the ferry landing, which is 10 miles from the
town. The ferry departs on the quarter hour. After crossing the river,
you will drive about a mile on the road from the ferry landing. After a
sharp right turn, you will be at the bottom of a hill.
3. Drive up the hill and turn right onto the first street, which is Royal. In one block,
Barrow House Inn will be on your left. It is a large white house with a
huge live oak tree on the corner. Simply walk up to the front door and
ring the doorbell twice.
From Natchez, Mississippi
1. Take Hwy. 61 South, passing through Woodville, MS. About 25 miles South of Woodville you will
reach a stop light at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Hwy. 10. Turn right, and in a few blocks you will
reach the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Commerce Street.
2. Turn left onto Commerce Street, and drive all the way down to the stop light. At the light,
a Jr. convenience store will be on your left, and a Ford dealership on your right.
You are about 3/4 mile from your destination at this point.
3. Turn right again onto Ferdinand Street, and then drive for about 3/4 mile until you see
our courthouse on your left. Then follow the directions from Baton Rouge & New Orleans
(above), beginning with number five.
1. Take I-55 S and once you are south of Brookhaven, follow the signs for Natchez .
From Mississippi Gulf Coast, ALABAMA & FLORIDA
1. Take I-10 West, then I - 12 to Baton Rouge.
Near the Mississippi River bridge, you will come to the I-10 and 110-North split.
You will take 110-North, also known as the Martin Luther King Expressway.
Then take Exit 8-C to Natchez, the very last exit off 110-North. A large roadside sign
